ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

Bitter leaf is native to the eastern and western parts of Africa where it grows wild along water ways, in grassland and at the edges of forests. It is a shrub or small tree up to 2 – 5m with elliptical green leaves up to 20cm. long.

HEALTH BENEFITS

Bitter leaf is a rich source of vitamins and minerals, vitamins A, C, and E, iron, calcium, and potassium. It is also high in antioxidants and has potential health benefits such as reducing inflammation, improving digestion, and boosting the immune system.

HOW TO USE THIS PRODUCT

  1. Get bitter leaves and do not wash it. Just use a clean serviette and clean the leaves. The reason for this is because when water touches the leaves without washing out the bitter taste, it makes the leaves to turn out bitter.
    2. Slice the leaves after cleaning them up properly. Slice to desired size and put in a clean dry bowl.
    3. The leaves are now ready to be used. Vegetable leaves are always the last to put while cooking. They are usually added after putting the required ingredients in your cooking soups or whatsoever meal. Hence, sprinkle your sliced bitter leaves into the cooking meal and do not stir. Leave it to boil well enough before stirring.
There you go! Your bitter leaf soup is ready (with the exclusion of its characteristic bitter taste).
